  • B2 Visa Processing Times New Delhi Embassy

    Hi,
My parents had an interview at New Delhi Embassy on June 03 2024, the visa tracker says its approved but not issued. From what i see on embassy website and calling the support number it can take up to 7-10 business days. Its been 10 business days since the interview does any one know what is the timeline after the interview it might take to get the passport in hand.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

Just an update for others who might run into the same issue, 3 of 4 family member visa status online changed from "Approved" to "Issued" on Jun 18 and 2 days later they received the passport with visas in them. However one my family status still says "Approved" with no change in case last updated date, i called the call center number they keep saying the same things..."it will take 7 to 10 business days and in some cases it will take longer". I mentioned its now more than 20 business days twice the time mentioned they say please send an email to
[email protected]. I did send email ones also another time i did send a message by logging into https://www.usvisascheduling.com/. Again they say it will take it will take 7 to 10 business days and in some cases it will take longer" and "await". It appears that nothing can be done and there is no way to expedite the process or even directly send a message or talk to some one in Embassy. The call center just reads the same message over and over again. Yesterday the "case last updated" time changed to 02-july however the status still shows as "Approved" and the same message. Very frustrating.

After another day after posting my last message the visa status changed from "Approved" to "Issued" and was received after another 3 days. Looks like some passports do take some time to get from "Approved" to "issued" in this case it took 4+ weeks. Even if it were to take more time i think it should not take more than thrice the amount of time of 2 weeks mentioned. Thanks every one.
