Year ago I went through helping a Vietnamese friend get a tourist visa to visit the USA. The biggest obstacle then was proving adequate "strong ties" to their home country, and I assume that's still the case. At that time, approximately 15 years ago, the most important factor was the applicant having a good job to return to. Does anyone have any insight as to whether that's still the case, or if the criteria has changed at all? What would the prospects be for a single young man, university degree, 3 years on the job at a multinational corporation?
