Did someone fly into the US with an ESTA still pending ?

I'm waiting for like over an week now and my flight is in two days I already called and they made an escalation queue but I still haven't got an answer yet does anyone still traveled with the pending ESTA?

The airline won't let you board if you are traveling to the US on a VWP-country passport without a visa or ESTA.
