Hello,
My parents attended US B2 Visa interview 5 months ago and US embassy in New Delhi still have not returned the passport. As per the portal Visa status changed to Approved on the same day of visa interview . I tried to contact them via support case, and they only mention it’s under processing and they have not asked any additional information so far. How long can they keep the passport ? Are they doing some kind of background check for this long ? My parents are above 60 years old and have very clean records. Do I have any options such as RTI ?
