Can I bring my Non-EU parents to Germany on a long term visa

I am an Indian citizen living in Germany with permanent residency, where I've been residing for over 8 years. My wife also works here in Germany. My father is a single parent, and as he's getting older, I'd like to bring him to Germany on a long-term dependent visa. I understand it might be a difficult process, but I still wanted to ask.
