Japan tourist visa delay

Anyone who applied for a Japan tourist visa at the VFS Delhi office recently and experiencing a delay with the outcome? We submitted our applications on the 18th and it was forwarded to the Embassy on the 20th but no update since. Forwarded a request letter to expedite the process too since our travel date is approaching next week but no response. https://19216811.cam/ https://1921681001.id/

I encountered this situation two months ago. However, I did not write a letter and contact the Embassy directly. It is not uncommon to have to wait such a long time after submitting an application to the Embassy.
