Japan Visa Processing time from Delhi

I’m applied for japan visa on the 26th September from VFS delhi and it reached the embassy on 27th, my trip is from 15th of october and i have still not received the visa, VFS is not able to help, has it taken more than 8 days for anyone and will the visa result be given before the flight days or it can after also?
