I am an Indian citizen with a H1B US visa stamp in passport that has an expiry date a year from now.
However, technically that specific visa is no longer valid because I switched to another visa which is yet to be stamped. The last time I entered mexico (like 8 years ago) the mexican immigration officer let me in even though my us stamp had expired at that time. I know I got lucky here as the requirement is that you need a valid US visa stamp.
Fast forward to today. What is the chance that in Mexico or Turkey they will look up some database to check if my actual visa is valid even though my stamp appears to be valid.
