Hi,
My brother and his family's US visa is expiring in 6 months. They were issued 10 year, multiple entry visa in 2015. That was their 3rd attempt for US Visa and in the first 2 attempts their visa was rejected.
In the first attempt VO (Visa Officer) was were issuing visa to my nephew and sister-in-law. At that time they said, they would better like to get visa for the whole family and whole family will visit US and return back. But VO didn't issue visa to them in that attempt quoting possible migrant or some similar reasoning.
In the second attempt they thought we will better apply for my nephew and sister-in-law and this time when VO will offer the same, they will take it, visit US and come back and then my brother will apply alone. In the second attempt's application, they did mention that what happened in their first attempt. But the VO didn't find it convincing and rejected their visa.
In the 3rd attempt, they all applied and they got the visa. They got lucky or VO was happy on that day They did visit once in 10 year and planning to come again.
Now it's time to renew their application and there is a question regarding "has their visa application ever rejected.." and I guess they will need to put reason. So how should they handle these questions? What will be best way to handle this. My brother and his family has UK, Schengen and few other Asian countries visa on their passport including US visa, which I think should help VO see that they have no intention to staying in any country but India.
Anyone who has applied for renewal in this situation, I would appreciate some help with this.
Thanks in advance.
