I'm having problem with my visa

I currently hold a J-2 visa, which expires this July. I am planning to apply for an F-1 visa through JCCC. The ISS administration informed me that I could enroll in either the fall or spring semester, as the summer session might already be full. However, I am eager to enroll in a college program before my visa expires. Do you have any suggestions on what I could do?
