  • UAE visiting Visa from India

My travel agent asked us to carry 3000 AED while travelling as this is a requirement during immigration. But I have read and heard that we can just keep the required equivalent amount in our banks and show the same if required. Can someone clarify if anyone has travelled recently? https://9apps.ooo/

Nah, you don’t really need to carry 3000 AED in cash just show proof of funds in your bank if they ask. I did my visa through this website, and they honestly made the whole thing super easy.

Here’s a comment you could use addressing the situation:

Hi — I checked around and there’s no official requirement that you must carry AED 3,000 in cash when travelling to the United Arab Emirates. Most recent travelers say showing a bank statement or proof of sufficient funds is acceptable.

For example, one Reddit user noted:

I am an Indian about to travel … Should I carry AED 3000 in hard cash or a bank statement? … Either or is fine and works.

      Another said:

No, Immigration doesn’t ask how much money you bring in. However if you bring in a large amount of money then you have to declare it to the Customs.

So unless your travel agent has documentation showing that this rule is required by your airline or the UAE immigration directly, I’d say you’re safe to travel with a valid bank/credit-card statement rather than carrying so much hard cash.

If you like, I can check up the latest official regulation from the UAE immigration or your departure airport just to be certain. Would that help?
