Does helping to clean a house you're staying in count as a job?

I am hosting someone for a tourist visa in the US. I know that they aren't supposed to have a job while they're here but to what extent does that go? Would them helping with the cooking and cleaning while they stay in my home count as a job? I would think that that's just part of anyone's self care wherever they are staying, right?
