  • Does Tourist visa (B2) expire if not flying within 6 months from the visa date?

    Hello,

My parents have recently received Tourist visa (B2) - 10 years multiple entry. However, they might not be able to fly for next 6 months. I wanted to know if they are flying after 6 months or let's say 1 year, is there anything special we have to do before they depart from India? Is there any separate process in such case (where one is not flying until another year of receiving visa)?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,

No. It remains valid and they can fly anytime.

      Hi,

Thanks for reply. That means, I can book ticket after one year from now and my parents just need to fly since their visa is valid. They don't need to visit American consulate again. Correct me if I am wrong.

      Please let me know.

      Thanks,
      - Parimal

Yes. You are right. They can enter USA even on the last date of the expiry of their visitor visa. Their stay in USA is determined on the date given in their I 94 form.
