Question on Sponsorship

I am a US Citizen from past two years and wife on GC. We are planning to have our in-laws come visit us. My question is does our sponsorship (affiduat of support) for them would help them in the process or will be more of a negative for them? Thanks in advance.

If they can show that they can take care of the expenses themselves, that is good. Otherwise, you sponsor them.
