length of tourist visa

My Visa is expiring June 27th and I am trying to bring my parents here. So how long will they get the visa. Is it based on my visa expiry or they can get it for atleast 6 months. I am going to apply for my H1B extension though.

As long as you have valid H1 at the time when they show at embassy, there is no problem. I come across same scenario. No problem. My parents already got their visa.

Thanks Karthik. Right now the slots are open only during july. So what are the chances of getting the slot sometime during April or May. Is it possible if i can keep on looking daily
