  • Visitor Visa Extension - H1B expired

    Hello,

My H1B has expired on 28 Jan,2011 and I have applied for extension.
I am planning to extend my mother's visitor visa till Jun 15,2011.
Is it possible to extend the visitor visa. The reason is I need to enter I-94 number in I-134.
Please advise what I can do.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can still do that.

I understand your situation. Everything will not exactly fit appropriately in I-134. You may want to write an additional letter explaining your situation and attach the copy of your extension receipt notice.

You don't extend anything, your mother files an application for extension and if deemed appropriate USCIS approves it. All you are doing is providing funds for her stay in the US. As long as she provides a good reason, your status does not matter that much.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
