visa/I-94 expired ; sponsor B2 for mother-in-law

Hello Friends,

Hope you can help me out.

My L1B visa expired in April 2011, but my company has filed for the visa extension. I want to sponsor visitor visa (B2) for my Mother-In-Law. Please let me know if I can apply B2 Visa with my extension status. I have recipt of extension documents with me.

Would appreciate any inputs.
