How many days can one stay (continuously) in the US on a tourist visa? Please advise.

I'm looking to book flight tickets for my parents. Will it be 180 or 183 days? Thanks!

Maximum 6 months. Number of days in any given six months can vary, anywhere from 180 days to 184 days.

It is always sensible to book tickets for a date that's about 2 weeks before the 180 day mark.

That way, in case of some unexpected event or last minute emergency you have some time and don't have to worry about their being out of status by a few days.
