Dual Sponsor for Visit Visa

Hi,

I wish to find out if it is allowed to have two persons act as sponsor for a visit visa. One person is not able to provide proof of sufficient funds.

Additionally, Do both persons need to have a blood relationship with the person coming on the visit? Any reply is appreciated and thanks in advance.
