While completing the DS-160 form for my parents, I stumbled upon one section. In the "previous employment" section, they ask if the applicant was "previously employed". However, an accompanying note says "employment history for the last 5 yrs". My father retired about 7 years ago, so what do I say for the previous employment part?

I have a similar situation, where the person retired in 2006.
Do I choose "NO" for "Were you previously employed?", since details are asked for 'the last five years, if applicable' ?

      thanks.

Select yes and enter the last employment detail. Not a big deal.

Worked for 7years in a company branch locally, reporting directly to its HO in Chennai. This branch subsequently closed, and the employee concerned, declining job offer at the HO, retired. Now in the "Employer address" in DS 160, which one should be given, that of the HO at Chennai to whom the person was reporting,("supervisor's name is that of the person at HO) or the local branch address, now closed? Suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks
