I am on H1b, my 6 years on H1b is done and expired. Labor approved, H1b extension and I-140 are pending approval. I am trying to sponsor my sister and her 2 year old kid to come here.

should I treat the kid as a seperate person, send him a seperate set of documents as i would for my sister?

You can send one set of rest of the sponsor documents for both of them.
