Name Change Issue for visitor vsa

My parents would be applying for B1/B2 visa to attend my commencement. My mother's name was changed by my grandparents after marriage and I have that name in my passport. However, based on original documents, she has the original name in her passport. Because of this, she did a court affidavit certifying that both of them are the same person. Would she need to take the affidavit along with her during the visa interview? I know the visa officers would have copies of my passport as a sponsor where she has a different name.

Please suggest !
