  • Notarized documents? Plz help.

    Hello,

My husband is sponsoring my mother and we are about to send the documents listed on this website.

I noticed that we are to get the documents notorized. How do we get our documents notorized in US? Do we have to type in the letter and take it to the bank or will they have their own formats?

Please give us the detailed procedures.

    Thanks a ton!

am also in the same boat but i think

am also in the same boat. but i think only the form I-134 needs to be notarized, that is u sign in front of the bank officer and they will verify it by signing and notarising.

I am not sure if u have to notarise all other documents.
BTW do u mind sharing the sample cover letter. when is ur appointment ?
r u enclosing the paystubs till this month incase ur appointment is next month?????

Please give me an idea on this . You can write to me at [email protected].

      Notarize

      Hi
You dont need to notarize all documents. All you need to notarize is the form I-134.
      Hope this helps.
And the easiest way to get it notarized is go to the bank you bank with and they will do it absolutely free. At the same time get a letter from the bank with details of your bank account and how much $$ you have in the account.
Dont have to send any bank statements, just this letter will do.

        Thanks!

        Srikar, thanks for the info.

Apeksha, the format for the cover letter is available on this website. I am using the same format but adding personal details. Yes, I am sending the recent most paystub of my husband. My mother has her appointment at Chennai consulate on April 12 hence I will be posting the docs in the last week of March.

        Thanks,
        Roopa
