please help me to get the B2

Hi today i got my B2 rejected under 214B. I need to travel to US for writing the exam next month. I have a valid H4 visa. But I dont have the contact information of my spouse - means I don't know where my husband is in US. Previously i asked in this forum if I could travel to US on the H4 without any other docs. I was advised to apply for B2 and not travel on H4 without the spouse's consent. So applied for B2 today. I was asked why I'm not traveling on H4. I got rejected under 241B when I said that I dont have any contact info about my spouse and i'm going to write this exam and i requested the visa for just 5 days. What is my option now? I need to attend the exam which is my future career. I'm sponsored by my employer who will petition my H1B once I come back to India after writing the exam. My employer is sponsering my trip for exam but the officer rejected my visa even before luking at the letter from my employer. please help me. my future career relies on this. I am wondering if I should travel on H4. But I dont have any docs.

Not knowing your husband's whereabouts is not an acceptable situation. You need to conclude that matter, such as with divorce.

Thanks. I'm still married and not even seperated legally. Its just he's not with me and refuses to tell where he is.
Is there any possible solution to this. I definitly need to travel for the exam. How should I convince at the interview that i'm not an intending immigrant just because i dont know where my husband is.
Or is it possible to travel on H4 since I beleive the visa is valid except that i dont have the petition or I797 with me. where can I request to issue me a copy I797? or where can I get this query cleared. Is there any office at the counsalate for this?

That's one brilliant idea jamhelcor. My employer is not willing to sponsor any kind of work visa until i pass the exam. I have only 2 choices. Either H4 or B2. I've traveled a lot of times alone on H4 to visit my husband without any documents. I was not once questioned or asked for any docs at the POE. But this time I am hesitant to do the same as I dont want to get deported and create a bad history for myself. Are my chances for getting B2 zero? Also where can I inquire if my h4 is still valid or not canceled my my husband. Thanks to you people for trying to help me out by your advices.

Sorry, could immihelp enlighten my case. I'm relying on the forum for an answer. My exam is scheduled and and fully payed for and its next month. My friends are asking to go on the H4, since its valid and stamped on my passport. But I'm going get employed as a healthcare worker in future, so I don't want to get deported and create a black mark.
If I happen to travel on H4, will my B2 visa denial be recorded and show up at the POE to the officer on the system?
