In 2003 I was refused the admission in the US territory because in 1997 I spent 5 months in the us without any visa. The immigration officer advised me to obtain a tourist visa if I wanted to come back but the embassy refused to give me the visa for the same reason. Is it a life sentence and I am going to be punished for the same mistake again and again. I would appreciate some advices if you are in the same situation. Thank you
