visitor visa rejected..question

Friends,

My in laws visa got rejected on 22nd march by 214b.

Questions asked:
FIL:what do you do? do u get pension? how much?
MIL:what do you do? do u get pension? how much?
Daughter:What does she do? where does she work?

Visa rejected with 214B.

My father in law is retired he gets gratuity of 5000. My mother in law was nurse sge gets pension of around 3500.

My question is what is typical value of property we should show? How much cash/property etc. (I am aware that it varies case to case and one cant say the exact amount but I would appreciate if any of you can give me some approx range).

There is no set rule regarding how property/money is enough.

Officer looks at the entire case and decides and not just amounts.
