  • Issue selecting "Principal Applicant Purpose of Trip to US" for mother

I am planning to invite my parents to US and hence I am filling DS160 form for each one. First I am filling my mother's DS 160 form (father's yet to fill), in that I am facing issue while filling "Travel information" page. I am not seeing the option of "Tourist/PERSONAL Travel visit(b2)" option under "Principal Applicant Purpose of Trip to US "

    Q) Are you the Principal Applicant.
    A) No. (I selected no since my mother is accompanying my father).

    Q) Surnames of Principal Applicant.
    A) (Entered my father last name)

    Q) Givennames of Principal Applicant.
    A) (Entered my father first name)

    Q) Principal Applicant Purpose of Trip to US
If I select the choice box here I am getting only 2 options.
    a) Student/exchange visa (F,J,M,Q)
    b) Others

If I select OTHERS, getting another choice box, but there is no option to select "Tourist/PERSONAL Travel visit(b2)". I am not sure what I suppose to do in this. If I select YES under Are you the Principal Applicant question then I am seeing the option for Tourist visit, but as per the instruction my mother cant be a Principal Applicant.

Please help me to over come this issue. Can I select both my father and monther as Principal Applicant? If not what is the solution to fill my mother DS160 "Travel Information page"?

    Thanks

For Visitor visa each applicant is principal, there are no dependents.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
