  • Does this classify as B1/B2 Visa

My sister who is an Asst Professor in India, just got her paper selected by the American Academy for a poster presentation at a seminar in USA. I am hoping that she can come here with her kids during that time and stay with us for a month.
Do she need to apply for a regular Visitor's visa or is this classified under a different visa category ? The only document she has from the committee is an Invite letter for the 5 day conference.
Her kids are 6 and 10. Since they are minors is there a way to apply for the three of them as a family rather than as 3 separate applications ? For the sponsorship documents that I send her - do I need to send 3 originals - one for each of them or just one original for her and copies for the kids would do - for example bank account verification letter, employment letter etc.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    B1/B2 visa is fine.

One set of supporting documents from you is fine too.

Thank you very much for your response.
Does she need to fill out 3 separate applications and make 3 separate appointments on the same day ? Or is there a way to fill out the application for herself and kids as a family ?
