visa for parents

Dear Sir,

I need an advice. I am living in USA on L1. My wife and two kids are living with me. My wife recently got an ankle fracture and I am doing the baby sitting these days. I am thinking to apply for visitor visa for my parents. In the visa application letter to consulate, should i mention this reason? Is this justified?

My father is in governtment service and he can get 2 (to 4) weeks vacation.

Should I go ahead and apply for the visa?
