visitor visa- Parents visiting canada and US !!

Hi all,
My parents want to visit my sister in Canada (first) and me in US second in the summer. My sister is working in canada and is going to sponsor my parents for canadian visa.
My question is regarding the US visitor visa. I am a PhD student in the US and can show around $3000 in my bank statement. Is that good for sponsor??

My father is retired and mom is house wife. They can show arnd Rs. 3 lakhs in liquid cash and have a house (fixed asset). Is it better for them to be self sponsor?? or can my sis even though she lives in canada sponsor them for the entre trip??

I am really confused and any help will be really appreciated.

It would be the best if you should your money and your father shows his. That combined amount should be good enough.

thanks for the reply!! So in the DS 160 form should we mention the parents or me as the sponsor?? It asks for name and address of the sponsor??and I will have to send I-134 form too??
