Business Visa Can we travel for Sight seeing

My father wants to visit US for Sight seeing. He has a valid B1/B2 visa . He has traveled multiple times on business trips to US

I believe Business visa is B1. Since the visa type is b1/b2 , can he still travel to US using the same visa

Any ideas? Or contact details
