221(g) on visitor visa - processing times?

Hi,

My sister went for her interview on march 23rd - and got 221(g)....as she is biochemist...they said we will contact u in 10-12 business days...

anyone had similar experience ? and if yes, what time did it take to get the processing done.

should we send a mail to the consulate asking for status after 10 business days ? or just wait. we are feeling helpless with the "waiting" situation....

Yes, you are right...we will have to just wait. But I was wondering if someone else has recently gone thru this Visas Mantis and wondering if the 14 days processing time is really a reality !

It is difficult to say. Every case is different.

Even if someone might have gone through this kind of thing recently, it may not take same time for you.
