U.S Visa / Canadian For round the world trip

Hi there,

I'm doing a around the world trip, and im planning on traveling along the west of coast of the U.S. But after that i'm planning on working in Canada for 6 months after that. Am i going to have a problem getting back into the U.S to get my flight home from New York if im wanting to 'walk over' boarder from CA if i have used my 3 months visitors visa time previously?

I'm a British-Citizen if that helps in anyway.
