Urgent Help about mumbai consulate....

My Husband is sponsoring my mother's USA visitor visa at mumbai consulate on 12 May thursday... 1) Pls anyone have experience what happened inside or what procedure she have to face while going for interview ?

I donot know anything about USA mumbai consulate and my mother is going first time for interview and we have no one to helped it out ?

Applicants should go to the consulate 15 minutes before the appointment.
There will be VFS people outside calling applicants by appointment time. Once her time is called she can stand in the line.
After going inside she will have to go through security check and then VFS person will collect her documents.
She will then probably go to fingerprinting and then interview. VFS people (Indians not employees of the consulate, VFS is a private agency) will guide her through the process.
She is not allowed to take many commonplace things like bags, cellphones etc. inside. It will be good if she keeps those at home and carries all the documents in a plastic folder. You get plastic folders with multiple compartments in the market, they are very handy. She should wear comfortable clothes (what she normally wears). She will probably be required to drop off documents at a VFS service center 3-4 days before the interview.
