I want to bring my friend from Europe here for the summer and I have been looking up information about her getting a visa...I saw it said that if they don't have enough to cover their trip you can be a sponsor...I am willing to do that but my bank account isn't in the best shape. My mom is willing to help and be a sponsor for my friend, she makes regular deposits but I saw somewhere that you should have $5,000 in your account? Is this true? Even if there are regular deposits made into the bank account and she works will my friend's visa be denied? Also I will be working once I get back to the east coast, but can't be her sponsor because I have only a small amount of money in my account. I need to know exactly what information they look for at the embassy, I'm hoping they just need to see that someone is willing to take care of the person requesting the visa and there isn't a specific amount of money needed....

Are you able to take care of the visitor's expenses while he is here? If so, you can sponsor. Otherwise, you can't.Immihelp Support
