Applying UK Visa from US
I am an Indian citizen working in US on EAD and have a valid AP until Jul 2011. I am planning a trip to UK in Aug - Sept 2011. Generally my AP used to be valid till Nov but last time I guess I renewed quite early and got the Jul date. I didn't notice that until yesterday though I got my UK biometric done on Monday.
So, the situation now is that I have already applied for AP renewal online yesterday and sent all the required documents to USCIS yesterday evening. I have to send all the required documents to British Consulate in NY by May 30. Not sure what will they do, probably reject
I have all my documents ready with online copy of confirmation receipt (advance parole). It will take couple of weeks to receive the renewed AP so I am on a fix 'coz of my stupidity.
Any suggestions what should I do? I see two options:
1. Send all the required documents + online renewal receipt of AP + a letter explaining the situation + all previous APs. And wait for their query. Not sure if they reject or wait for me to send the new AP? If rejected, how soon can I apply (is there any time limit?) and if rejection will cause any issue in my next visa processing?
2. Cancel my visa application and file new visa once I get my AP. In this case I will loose $262 (wife + mine).
I know so many questions but I am totally tensed. Please Help!
