Hi all,
I am married and as of now, I am on an OPT status working here as a full time employee. My husband works in India and he has a B2 visa as many of them advised us not to go for F2. During his first visit, he got his I-94 stamped for 6 months. But during his 2nd visit, he just got 1 month on his I-94. Now, we are planning to change his status to F2 from US itself. I have been going through some information on the web and I read a few documents which stated that we have to be here for 60-90 days to change the status. As of now, we are in a confused state because of the I-94 expiry which is just 1 month.
If the F2 gets denied by chance, will the H4 we are planning to apply after I get my H1 be affected in anyways? Will his chances of getting his F-1 in future be affected because of the F2 denial( in any case)?
Can anyone of you please suggest anything?
