Dear Immihelp,
I applied for a visa this Feb with the intention to visit my friend's wedding and I wrote on the application that the intended time of stay is 2 weeks. I got a 10 year visa and at the POE was given 6 month stay (untill end of August). Once I entered the US for various reasons my plans changed and instead of 2 weeks I stayed 3 months, all within all the legel requirements.
However, 2 month into my stay there the consulate office called my job to see if I came back and when my mother called them back to see if there is any problem they told her "no, just wanted to see where your daughter was" After questions regarding how I support myself there, etc., to all of which my mom answered respectively she asked once again if she needs to tell me to come back immidiately. Once again the answer from the consulate was "No, it is fine."
Now that I have been back for 3 days (well within the allowed time), I received yet another call from the consulate insisting that I go and meet the consular ASAP regarding my visa. Further explanation was refused to me over the phone.
I will travel to meet with the consular this coming week, please tell me have I done anything wrong, anything out of line with the law or anything that can get my visa revoked?
Thank you very much in advance!
