Age 80 plus: How to get Interview Waiver? Please Help

Hello ImmiHelp and friends,

My Dad is 80+ and our consulate is Kolkata (India). I need to get a tourist Visa for him. I learned that 80+ could have an Interview Waiver. Not sure how I could use the Interview Waiver option for his tourist Visa.

Any advice guidance for following question will be highly appreciated.

* How to apply for the waiver?
* Any Form for Interview Waiver or personal request letter for is enough?
* How to send the application? by Post or someone need to visit to the consulate and drop off the package?

Call up VFS and ask. I think the system will automatically lead you to this when you enter date of birth.

I have send an email request to VFS asking for detail instruction on this matter. I know this is something most of us do not have to go through but I am in real unique situation.

Got response back from VFS. They suugests that my Dad need to follow same standard rule applied to everyone. not a problem anyway.

Just wanted to send you this private message. I am in a similar situation too. My Dad is 80+ too and needs to apply from Kolkata. Can you please let me know what you found? Can we touch base outside the forum?
