Will Tourist Visa affect F1-Visa chances ?

Hi all,

I live in USA on H-1B. My mom already have a tourist visa & I am planning to bring her here sometime. During that time, I am planning to bring my younger brother also on tourist visa.

In future, My younger brother would like to come for higher studies to USA. Will his chances of getting F-1 Visa be affected because he already had a tourist visa before ?

Any help on this is appreciated.

If he gets the B2 visa and travels to the US and returns, it will in fact work in his favor for subsequent student visa application. But if B2 is denied, it will affect his F1 application.
