Hello freinds

I submitted the DS-160 form for my parents in Kolkata consulate but now when i am trying to book for appointment dates its only showing Mumbai's calender. Should i take the appointmnet date in Mumbai ? Will there be any issue since the DS-160 is submitted in other consulate and apoointmnet is taken in some other ?

Our state of residence is Chhattisgarh

Indian citizens are allowed to apply at any US consulate/embassy in India according to new rule.
So if Mumbai works for them, they can apply at Mumbai. But remember they need to submit documents 3 days in advance in case of Mumbai. So make sure they are able to do that.

Hi I am also in the same boat. My parents are in MP and I have filled in New Delhi DS-160 as we want to go there. But when I select the dates on VFS site, after selecting MP as state of residence it only shows Mumbai date.

I even called up VFS call center, they said that yes I am allowed to schedule a date anywhere if my language is available (Hindi in my case). But they were not able to suggest as to why it does not show up on the dates.

Did you get any luck in going further.
