  • Mom's B2 Visa rejected

My mom had an unsuccessful interview today. The reason I am assuming - is such a situation that never going to change whatsoever... Here is the interview Questions and my mom's reply -

VO : Why do you wanna go to America?
MOM : To visit my daughter and son in law, and see some places in USA with them.
VO: When did your daughter went to USA?
    MOM: 2009
    VO: Which visa
    MOM:Immigrant Visa(green card)
    VO: Where does she live?
    MOM: Texas
VO: Who lives in Canada? (My mom had multiple entry canadian visa valid until june 2012).
    MOM: My Son
    VO: What does he do?
    MOM: Business Analyst
    VO: Do they have kids?
    MOM: No
    VO: What do you do?
MOM: I own/manage business (inherrited from my late father) and manage my 6 apartments and other land properties.
VO: Do you have any other child?
    MOM: No
VO: Why did you go to Saudi Arabia, for Hajj?
    MOM: Yes.

VO: Sorry, I did not liked you for visa and gave her the paper stating that she was unable to proof her tie with the country and unlikely for her to come back after the stay... blah blah...

Now my question is, my mom was truthful and some fact of my mom's life are

    1. She is a widow
2.Her only son lives in Canada
3.Her only daughter lives in USA
4.She has ample amout of money to travel back and forth in any part of North America.
5.I have a green card, so I can bring her here after I become citizen(if she lives till then) - so no question of living illegally with a B2 visa.

    Therefore,
1.without looking into any documents that she brought with her how can VO determine that she will not come back??
2.What should be the most wise step to be taken considering her circumstances?

Any expert opinion is highly appreciated...

Most of them are well experienced to interpret the intention without having look at the documents. But this is not the end of the world. You can reapply after 3 business days of refusal. Next time you can still have a lenient officer attending your mom. Tel your mother to be more obvious in explaining her ties to her home country and have clear supporting documents.

    Good Luck!!
Thank you for your reply...But I don't think they could really interpret the intention...My mom does not have any intention to come to USA and start living illegally after her visa expiration, abundant all her property, money and comfort (maid and drivers) that she had in her country. My mom had more than sufficient supporting documents including bank accounts, investment accounts, affidavet of properties along with the copys of main deed of agreements, tanent deed of agreements, TAX files for the company that we own and my invitation letter which had my copy of my GC,ID,Passport,SSN,Marriage cert....

My mom is going to Canada to pay a visit to my brother's family sometime in October and after a month visit she will again go there sometime in April next year. We are planning to apply after these couple of visits. Do you think this will make any significant change in my mother's situation? Problem is my mom does not have any child living in BD and at the same time, she does not want to live abroad either..That is why she does not even want to live with my brother living in Canada, forget about living in USA. But this is true that she wants to see my family in USA, visit some nice places with us..that's what exactly the intention is.. I don't how can that be proved? In bad way saying, USA now has the worst economy ever, no aged moderately rich ppl would come here to struggle here without health and other benefits..VOs should realize that part too. Instead these visitors are bringing foreign currencies. I know, if my mom's paper works were see and evaluated then this problem wouldnot have arised. My mom gets visa Canada visa (for the second time) without even attending any interview. Only by applying proper documentation at the VFS.

I know I am lil frustrated and trying to vent here...hopefully my good friends would give me some more ideas on the situation where my mom can prove herself to be strongly tied with the country without a kid living with her and in a situation when VOs does not rely on paper works but some standard questions.

    Thank you
