Document submission for Calcutta Consulate

Hi - I have scheduled interview dates for my cousin at Calcutta consulate. Do we need to submit the documents ahead of the interview date with VFS? I see that for mumbai and hyderabad there is mention of submitting 3 days earlier, none for other consulate, does that mean we go directly to the consulate on the day of the interview with the documents?

Appreciate any feedback.
