  • Visitor Visa for sister & BIL

    Hello Folks,

Me and my wife are working on H1B. I am in US for last 10 years. We are expecting our first baby this Nov. My sister and BIL are planning to vist us this November for a month or so.Offcourse they have to apply for Visitor Visa and thats where i have few Qs

My sister and BIL are working in Bamgalore for last 5 years. My sister is in IT working for a reputed IT firm.My BIL is in finance and is working for a a big finance company.Since both are working i am assuming it should be easy for them to establish a tie back to home country, India i mean.

    My question is

    1) What are the documents that they need to carry ?

2)How easy or tough will it be to get the Visa ?(I know its a very tough question..only God can answer )

3)My Mom already has a 10 year B2 visa and has visited us couple of years back.Do i need to send similar kind of documents to these guys what i sent to my Mom for her stamping like Affidavit of support , company letter, invitation letter etc

Lastly moment of truth : Do my sis & BIL needs to tell the truth that are coming to US to join us for this joyous occasion or do they have to say the visit is for tourism purpose ?

I appreciate any input in thsi regard.

    Thanks.

If your relatives are paying for their own trip, all you need to send is an informal invitation letter.

        Sponsor for Sister-in-law (B2 Visa)

Hi, My Brother is living with his family in US for past 3 years. I already have B1/B2 visa for 10 years and I plan to visit my brother along with my wife and mother. I have a kid but we are not planning to take her to US. Can my brother sponsor B2 tourist visa for my wife along with my mother and what are the documents required?

        Thanks.

            Sponsor for Sister-in-law (B2 Visa)

Sorry Mr. Kabkaba, could not understand what you meant (Read the above link and link it).

Here is my question once again. Just to be clear, my wife and mother could not show sufficient funds for thr trip exenses. So my brother will sponsor for the entire trip expenses.

                Sponsor for Sister-in-law (B2 Visa)

Thank you very much. Couple of questions more:

                1. Can my mother and wife attend the visa interview together?

                2. My mother doesn't speak English but my wife does and I'm not getting interview dates when I select the interview language as "Urdu or Hindi" while fixing the interview appointment. But when I select English I do see few dates available... Please suggest.

                Thanks.
