Lufthansa-Luggage Lock

HI ,

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this question.

My parents got their 10 yr visa recently and are visiting USA next week. They are flying through Lufthansa. I heard that recently its been told not to lock luggages. Is that true. SHould i ask them to lock the luggage or not?

You can lock the luggage. If they need to inspect, they will break the lock and inspect. If they don't, your bags are safer.
