  • Both children in the US

    Hi all,

Both are us are in the US. One of us is sponsoring parents for visitors visa. They are visiting just to be with us and tourism.

    My questions are -

    1. In the Affidavit my parents write, should they mention that they will be visting both children in the US?
    2. During the Interview, should they mention (if asked) that both children are in the US?

I have heard that we should not mention that all children are in the US. Please advice.

thanks for the informative site and responses.

    hi

it is true - generally they say that it is better not to mention that both the children are in USA. immihelp will advise you to tell the truth. but it is your decision of what you want to do as none of us give any legal advise. this is a wonderful website helping thousands of people everyday.
what happens is in the eyes of the officer if both the children are in USA you are a potential immigrant. there are cases where people got visa saying that both children are in USA but there are more cases where rejection is because of both children in USA. all depends on luck also.
but as such no body has that mush time to check regarding your children , interview is hardly for little time so if you wish you can show only one child in USA and other studying or married in India. this is just my suggestion as many people i know of have done this earlier.
immihelp will definiltey guide you better. moreover there are many posts on this topic earlier.
    all the best
