i need help regarding B1/B2 visa documents

hi,
i am going to new york for a 4-day meet in NYU, during which i will be staying with a friend in jersey city. i have filled out his address in the ds-160 form. he lives with his wife and 1 year old son.
i wanted to know what documents do i need from him.i have already requested a copy of his passport and green card and an invitation letter.
1. do i need any additional documents?
2. can the invitation be sent via email or does he have to post it?

Nothing else is needed unless the friend is also paying for your trip. Email is fine, take a printout.
