Vistor Visa Renewal

I wanted to know, if there is a separate visitor visa renewal process for expired visa.
My parent's had 10 years visitors visa issued 10 years and now the visa has expired. Is there a separate process for renewing the visa or should we apply a new visa altogether?

They have to do the same process what they did when getting their earlier visitor visa.That means they have to do again.
