  • Need advice from experts@immihelp!

    Hello,

My wife is pregnant right now and we are expecting a baby in first week of August this year. I'm trying to bring in my in-laws at least by early July. Mother-in-law got her passport early n we got her an appointment in Chennai on July 26 and asked for a Telugu translator as she can't speak English. From the past 2 months we've been trying everyday to see if we can get an earlier date, but weren't lucky! Father-in-law got his passport this week and we booked his appointment in Chennai (English) and got end of August initially, but were lucky to get July 11 after some trials! Looks like lot more slots are becoming available for English. The dilemma we've right now is whether to keep their appointments like that (both going seperately) n keep trying for earlier dates or cancel both n take a new appointment in English and expect/hope to get some dates in June sometime (at least early July). Has anyone gone thru such a situation and got lucky ? Appreciate any advices in this regard.....

Has anyone taken appointments by going directly to Chennai consulate, instead of booking online ? Will that give dates earlier ?

**** Ofcourse the reason of pregnancy will not be mentioned during the VISA interview!!! ***

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    hi

you will have to try online only, you cannot go there as it is of no help.
looks fine if they go seperate but would be good if they could go together. but dont worry.

How about one single appt instead of 2 seperate ?

          Hello immihelp,

Thank you for ur reply. What do u suggest about cancelling my mother-in-law's appt (in Telugu) n father-in-law's existing appt (in English) and making one single appt for both of them in English as we have seen more dates available in English. Do u think it is a good idea? We r trying to take a chance and hope that works out in our favour!!

          Thanks,
          - Sudhakar

You can try that. You will have to just play with TTS website.
