Hi Everyone
My mom wants to visit the US to meet my Uncle (her younger brother) and my brother (her son). My uncle and his family are green card holders and are both employed.
My brother is a student in the US.
My parents are based in Chennai. My father is a retired business man and my mother teaches at a play school. I am their eldest daughter, married and settled in Australia.
The situation right now is that she is applying for her Australian visa, to come and visit me. The plan is that she would like to go to the US, to visit my uncle and my brother and come from the US to Australia.
The confusion is with respect to my mother's US visa sponsor. Since my brother is a student he cannot show financial support for my mom for her visit. Can my aunt (my mother's sister-in-law) sponsor her US visa? Will there be a question as to why she is being sponsored by her sister-in-law, and not her son?
I am sorry for this long question, but I am really in need of some help..so glad I came across this website..and with all the reviews couldnt help from posting my query here.
It will be amazing if someone can tell me if there is any issue in my uncle or aunt sponsoring my mother's visa.
thank you
chanz
